Content Marketing: Blog

Blogging is an important aspect of content marketing. Composing or crafting engaging blog posts on a regular basis on your website or blog will help you fish out potential customers for your brand. Your business, products or services, will continue to thrive depending on the information and education your audience have about your brand. Having an active and up to date blog, will in no doubt answer questions about how effective your products or services are and if they can solve their problems.

Blog posts can range in words from 300-1200 words. Make sure you write posts which are relevant to your business and industry'trend and  not just your niche. For instance, let's say you own a restaurant or bakery business, your blog posts should not only reflect your business but the culinary industry as well. Writing about recent trends in the industry will keep customers in the loop of things as regards food in general. So you are not just informing them about your business or products, but also news and information of recent developments within the industry which is the bigger picture.

Secondly, your blog posts should aim at addressing the pain points of your audience. Find out what your customers' issues and concerns are and then craft content that will address them. Be sincere in your approach to helping in solving their problems and not just trying to make another sale. Being empathetic is one sure way to understandibg your customer journey and be true in your approach to answering their questions. Remember, your audience is real and sensitive to see through any pretense or facade even when writing.

Thirdly, your blog posts should be Google friendly. In other words, they should be optimized for search engines. I know there's a lot of technical stuff which applies to this. But it will do you a whole lot of good to educate yourself about the technicalities of SEO which is Search Engine Optimization, and how to apply it on your blog. I had to learn myself, and I still learn. Go online and search for SEO tutorials on YouTube and you can get free lectures which will help boost your knowledge of the subject at hand.

Finally, consistency is the key to success in effective blogging. Be determined to be consistent in your content marketing as a blogger. Write or craft blog posts as often as you can manage. Draw up a plan and find out which one works for you, either weekly, bi-weekly, or a monthly plan and stick with it. When your audience is aware you have an established regular pattern, they will always look forward to reading your content. And that in itself, will generate leads, and these leads can and will be converted to customers.
